Sufix 832 50lb Braid

Sufix 832 Advanced Superline® is the strongest, most durable small diameter braid. It is built with 8 fibers (7 HMPE plus 1 GORE® Performance Fiber) and 32 weaves (pics) per inch. Due to its high-pitch count, it is also hydrophobic (water-repellent). The R8 Precision Braiding and fiber technology provide superior strength, roundness and line consistency. By adding GORE® Performance Fibers we improve abrasion resistance, increase casting length/accuracy and reduce line vibration. HMPE fibers provide the high strength and sensitivity, hydrophobic water-repellent protection and small diameter. All of this makes Sufix 832 Advanced Superline® 30x more abrasion-resistant than other braids. This line is great for casting, trolling and jigging, when high abrasion-resistance is needed.

Better than average result, not quite as good as the 15lb Sufix 832 we previously tested, finishing 13 places lower. Interestingly there was significant inconsistency in both the Maximum Break and Abrasion Tests, but the FG Knot was extremely consistent. On a good note, the line was exceptionally round.
