Upgrade X8 consists of advanced fibres braided with Japans latest technology to offer a premium braid. YGK WX braiding technology is woven to offer the least stretch and tightest line body. Upgrade X8’s 8-strand body offers the smoothest line surface., its hard coating prevents tangle, abrasion and water absorption.

Very solid performance in the maximum tensile strength test, ranking in 6th place overall, but quite poor in the abrasion test. Construction is nice, appearing very smooth but it has quite a large diameter variation at 22.6%, resulting in more of a square shape than round. Maximum Break is 8.8% under the quoted figure.
